Football is a huge industry with hundreds of roles available at clubs all over the world.
When most people think of football, their first thought is the players and manager. However, there is a whole industry behind these people. Football clubs are huge enterprises with equally huge teams of people in various departments working in hundreds of different roles to support what happens on the football pitch. From sports science to recruitment , from marketing to media, the list is endless.
It is these people that keep the club and industry running and you can be part of this.
The Academy has a route for anyone who wants to explore the multiple possibilities behind the scenes at a club or in one of the satellite industries – the Masterclass section of the syllabus gives Players invaluable experience of the roles available and achievable within the football industry.

International Scout
Nicola, an Academy graduate, became a European Market Specialist for PlayerLens. They provide a high quality analysis of players, specific to requests from clubs. From this role Nicola, joined Pisa Sporting Club in Italy before moving to Juventus to be their Head of Emerging Talent.

The Just Football Education Programme opens the door to every single one of these individual career paths throughout the football industry whether it’s as a player, a coach, a physio or in media, recruitment or analytics, the choices are endless.
Whilst we always encourage our players to keep an open mind about their decisions on where they want to be in five or ten years, if a player is set on a specific path, we can tailor their education to those ends by pulling in any of our masterclass partners from a specific sector to provide the relevant coaching and teaching as well as introductions to employers within the sector.
We are the only academy to provide specific, tailored support and coaching for the wider football industry in this way.
